Police provided information about two calls in the release, including one incident shortly before noon on Saturday. Police said they responded to a gas station in the 1600 block of 33rd Street West after receiving a report about a man seen with a firearm leaving a business.

Arriving officers found him and seized an imitation handgun. He was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.

In another incident later that day, police were told a man was assaulted in the 800 block of Confederation Drive around 4 p.m. by a woman who used a metal object to hit him. Police said they later determined the weapon was part of an air rifle. Officers found her nearby. She is charged with uttering threats to cause death, possession of a dangerous weapon and assault with a weapon.
